The Incredible History!

Greenwood, Oklahoma, famously known as Black Wall Street, was a flourishing African American community that defied the racial constraints of the early 20th century. Established by O.W. Gurley, Greenwood became a beacon of economic prosperity, boasting a vibrant business district with black-owned enterprises ranging from banks and grocery stores to theaters and hotels. The community's success stood as a testament to the resilience and entrepreneurial spirit of its residents.

Tragically, in 1921, the prosperity of Black Wall Street was brutally disrupted during the Tulsa Race Massacre. A white mob unleashed violence upon Greenwood, resulting in the destruction of homes, businesses, and countless lives. Despite this dark episode, the legacy of Black Wall Street persists, fueling contemporary efforts to rebuild and commemorate the community's rich history. The resilience of Greenwood serves as an enduring inspiration, emphasizing the importance of remembering and honoring the achievements of African American communities even in the face of adversity.

Care Guide

Keep your apparel looking great for ages:

  • Printed apparel can be machine-washed cold, inside-out on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent and like colors.
  • Use non-chlorine bleach only when necessary. You shouldn't use any fabric softeners or dry-clean the items.
  • Printed apparel can be tumble-dried on a low cycle, but hang-dry works best.
  • When it comes to ironing, use cool iron inside-out. Don't iron the print.

We use the latest printing technology to offer a wide variety of products and color options. We use high-quality inks that won't fade for a long time if taken care of properly.

Keep in mind that garment blank manufacturer's care instructions (tags) don't take into consideration the printing process. So we suggest following the care instructions on this page to learn how to take care of your printed garments properly.

Follow these instructions carefully to avoid fading and cracking of the print, and shrinking of the garment that can occur if you wash or dry it on a high setting. Pro Tip: For ANY garment, it is especially wearing to roughly tumble dry them with heavier items (blankets/towels/jeans/etc).

  • A Culture Vulture Free Zone

Look, we're all for inclusion and the diverse celebration of Black History. However, it has become increasingly common for NON Black-owned companies to sell Black Culture while also falsely claiming to be Black-owned. This practice of cultural appropriation is not only dishonest but also disrespectful to the Black community. By profiting off of Black culture without actually supporting or empowering Black-owned businesses, these companies perpetuate systemic inequality and contribute to the erasure of Black voices and perspectives. It is important for consumers to do their research and support authentic Black-owned businesses that prioritize social justice, equity, and circulation of the Black dollar; rather than those that simply capitalize on the latest cultural trends.
