The Incredable History!

The Tuskegee Airmen, America's first Black military aviators, made indelible contributions to both Black history and American history. Against the backdrop of racial segregation and discrimination, these determined young men volunteered to serve their country during World War II, overcoming significant obstacles to become skilled pilots, navigators, and bombardiers. Trained at Tuskegee University, they demonstrated exceptional skill and bravery, with the 332nd Fighter Group earning renown for their escort missions, boasting one of the lowest loss records among escort fighter groups.

Their valor was not only evident in combat but also in their pivotal role in breaking down racial barriers within the military. Despite facing prejudice and skepticism, the Tuskegee Airmen proved their capabilities and professionalism, earning prestigious awards such as Presidential Unit Citations for their outstanding contributions. Their success paved the way for President Harry Truman's Executive Order No. 9981 in 1948, which marked a significant step towards ending racial segregation in the U.S. Armed Forces. Beyond their wartime achievements, the Tuskegee Airmen's legacy endures through the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site, commemorating their service and inspiring future generations with their courage and perseverance.

  • A Culture Vulture Free Zone

Look, we're all for inclusion and the diverse celebration of Black History. However, it has become increasingly common for NON Black-owned companies to sell Black Culture while also falsely claiming to be Black-owned. This practice of cultural appropriation is not only dishonest but also disrespectful to the Black community. By profiting off of Black culture without actually supporting or empowering Black-owned businesses, these companies perpetuate systemic inequality and contribute to the erasure of Black voices and perspectives. It is important for consumers to do their research and support authentic Black-owned businesses that prioritize social justice, equity, and circulation of the Black dollar; rather than those that simply capitalize on the latest cultural trends.
