The Incredable History!

Black Wall Street stood as a beacon of African American economic success and cultural vibrancy in the early 20th century, nestled in the Greenwood district of Tulsa, Oklahoma. With a flourishing business community owned and operated by black entrepreneurs, it epitomized self-sufficiency and prosperity in the face of racial segregation and discrimination. However, the devastating Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921 shattered this oasis of black achievement, leaving a scar on the community and a painful legacy of loss and resilience.

Today, the significance of Black Wall Street lies in its dual role as a cautionary tale and a source of inspiration. It serves as a stark reminder of the systemic racism and violence that have plagued American society, while also igniting conversations about reparations, economic empowerment, and the ongoing struggle for racial justice. As we commemorate its legacy, we honor the resilience of the Greenwood community and reaffirm our commitment to building a more just and equitable society where the spirit of Black Wall Street can thrive once again.

  • A Culture Vulture Free Zone

Look, we're all for inclusion and the diverse celebration of Black History. However, it has become increasingly common for NON Black-owned companies to sell Black Culture while also falsely claiming to be Black-owned. This practice of cultural appropriation is not only dishonest but also disrespectful to the Black community. By profiting off of Black culture without actually supporting or empowering Black-owned businesses, these companies perpetuate systemic inequality and contribute to the erasure of Black voices and perspectives. It is important for consumers to do their research and support authentic Black-owned businesses that prioritize social justice, equity, and circulation of the Black dollar; rather than those that simply capitalize on the latest cultural trends.
