Black Wall Street refers to the thriving African American community of Greenwood in Tulsa, Oklahoma, during the early 20th century. It was a hub of black entrepreneurship, economic prosperity, and cultural vibrancy, where black-owned businesses flourished despite the racial segregation of the time. However, in 1921, the community was violently attacked and destroyed by a white mob in one of the deadliest racial massacres in American history, resulting in hundreds of deaths and the decimation of the once-thriving district. Despite this tragedy, Black Wall Street remains a symbol of resilience, entrepreneurship, and the ongoing struggle for racial justice in America.
